Electric Mountain is not just a music festival but rather an experience. Nestled within the picturesque valley’s of Merritt on the world famous Merritt Mountain fairgrounds, Electric Mountain “is” the new Merritt Mountain. It maybe the end of summer but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t bid the sun farewell in style. With two stages, BIG sound, and some of the best and brightest stars in the electronic music scene today, Electric Mountain is the hottest destination of the summer.  THE VENUE

A little piece of Canadian history, Merritt Mountain was home to one of the biggest Country Music Festivals in North America. This years event however definitely ain’t no Country Fest! The only thing Country about Electric Mountain is the festival grounds. The peace and quiet of the beautiful Merritt Mountain fairgrounds is being overhauled, taking it from 1990 to 2010. This is a whole new festival. The venue is the same; the river, the beer gardens, the camping, the stages are all still here for your enjoyment but with a new electronic sound. So bring your boots (yes country boots are welcome, no discrimination here) and beer and live the “new” Electric Mountain experience.

The Labour Day Long Weekend, September.4th and 5th 2010

 Gates are scheduled to open at 9am Saturday, September 4th So be sure to arrive at the festival early so that you can be assured to get a campsite, as campsites are on a first come first serve basis.

Decibel Festival is a non-profit, five-day annual music and arts festival held in Seattle, WA. Founded in 2003, the festival bridges the gap between technology and creativity through visual art, workshops, panel discussions and cutting-edge electronic music performances. By assembling a diverse selection of international talent, Decibel Festival provides a forum for musicians, industry professionals and educators alike.

The core of the festival is comprised of several concerts and live performances presented in a variety of locations throughout Seattle’s hip Capitol Hill neighborhood. In addition to these performance programs, Decibel includes a professional section featuring panels and workshops. Since its inception, Decibel has hosted over 400 acts ranging from underground dance and experimental electronic music to transmedial art.

The 7th Annual Decibel International Festival of Electronic Music, Visual Art and New Media is scheduled for September 22 through September 26, 2010.
